We're happy to introduce you to Liz Borgshulte, owner of Pearls & Treasures. Liz is a fearless picker and a friendly and outgoing dealer.
WM: You are a master picker. How far will you go to bring back a great haul?
Liz: I will go as far to the Northeast and Midwest to find a one of kind treasure.
WM: We love the direction you're taking lately with a larger selection of architectural items. Tell us what you have in stock now and how people might reimagine those items.
Liz: Architectural mouldings some with rosettes added with architectural metal hooks are a great way to add a decorative piece of history while hanging coats in a mud room or keys in your kitchen. I have 100 year old shutters from home in Pittsburgh that can be used to make one of kind shelf.
WM: You have a knack for picking great religious relics. What is your favorite piece of that type that you've bought or sold?
Liz: OMG! The Saint Anthony statue bought online from my favorite auction house in Pittsburgh. I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting. When I went to pick it up, I was astounded. It must have come from a church originally, but was found in a garden of an estate sale. An Italian gentleman purchased it, had it restored, and gave to his 80 year old mother for Mother's Day.
WM: our name gives away that you started by carrying a lot of vintage jewelry. Do you still?
Liz: Yes I still carry a great selection of vintage jewelry.
