On the north end of Aisle 8 is a colorful space called Lucy Baby Designs. Artist Lauren Tanner is a triple threat... she's an amazing hand lettered chalk artist, a prolific crafter, and a talented photographer.
Lauren joined the Woodstock Market family midway through last year as a way to earn extra income as a stay at home mom of two sons, one of which has special needs.
She first tried her hand at hand lettered chalk art at the request of her brother and sister in law. Lauren made several beautiful pieces for their special day and as you'd expect other orders followed. A number of her designs are coveted by newlyweds like the Mr. & Mrs. Boards, Wedding Itineraries, and Initial Chalkboards.
We were delighted to find The Making of a Christmas Card video from 2012 on the Lucy Baby Designs blog. Lauren created an entire hand lettered chalk art wall and the family posed in front of it for their annual Christmas card. It's great fun to watch no matter the season!
